Google’s Doodle today made me smile! A mom in a superhero cape cycling with her two kids. Happy Mother’s Day!
Cancer is a subject that is near and dear to my heart! My husband is a Leukemia survivor!
That is why I’m doing the Inside Ride this Saturday. It’s a fantastic high energy fundraising event that is memorable and meaningful.
One in every 330 kids gets cancer in Canada. 100% of the receipted donations from this event help childhood cancer charities and the 10,000 kids living with cancer across Canada.
Just $5 or $10 would make a huge difference! Please sponsor me!
You can help us make a meaningful difference for kids with cancer. Please make a secured online tax receiptable donation now using PayPal or your credit card at the link below:
Shelley Wood has a big heart. I’m not just talking about a big strong heart muscle from all that cycling that she does… I’m talking about a generous heart! She’s passionate about cycling and has found a way to make that passion work for others by participating in cycling events which raise money for kids with cancer. One of the notable things about the charity that Shelley is involved with is that 100% of the funds raised goes directly to the kids. This year she is doing the “HERO RIDE” which is to take place on June 1st, 2013. She’s still short of her goal of raising $2,500. Click here to read more about Shelley and to donate.
I was stopped in the city market today by Sarah Herring and Shelley Wood. They asked me to buy a raffle ticket. I have to be honest I’m usually not interested but today they had their hooks in me. You see… Shelley is cycling across Canada in the 2012 Sears National Kids Cancer Ride. Cycling and cancer are two words that have been in my vocabuary a lot lately so I couldn’t refuse…They were speaking my language! I bought a ticket and I would encourage you to do the same.
